Good Culture LLC, Irvine, Calif., added high-protein Good Culture Simply Classic double-cream cottage cheese with 6% milkfat and Good Culture Simply sour cream to its product offerings. This is the first time since the company’s launch that it is expanding outside of cottage cheese, marking a new chapter for the cultured dairy brand, Good Culture said.

The products are available in 16-ounce containers, and both fit into the brand’s “simply” category, which means they have high protein, less sugar and simple ingredients. Good Culture said its latest offerings continue its tradition of using pasture-raised milk from free-roaming cows on sustainable family farms, live and active cultures, and no additives such as stabilizers, thickeners or artificial preservatives.

“Just as we were hungry to reinvigorate a stagnant dairy category with simple-ingredient cottage cheese that over delivers in taste, health and sustainability, we were equally excited to disrupt the very sleepy sour cream category with a pasture-raised product that is loaded with probiotics,” said Good Culture CEO Jesse Merrill.

Good Culture said its newest products are currently available at Publix, with expanded nationwide distribution forthcoming. The sour cream retails for $3.29 and the 6% cottage cheese costs $3.99.
